International airports Dominican Republic
As mentioned, the island has 6 international airports , now let’s see them in detail:
The airport of Las Americas is without doubt the most important ,it has the most daily flights to various destinations from the United States , South America and Europe and is located south of the island .
This is the second most important airport of the island and also has flights to and from the United States and Europe and is located in the north.
This is another international airport serving only North, Central and South America and is located in the central-north part of the island.
This airport was built especially for charter flights only (organized tours), it is located precisely in the south-east of the Dominican Republic, the area with the most resorts (Baiahibe), and has no regular airline flights.
This airport is located on the east side of the island and also has only charter flights to bring tourists to the resorts of Punta Cana and Bavaro.
This airport is situated in the north-east of the island and even here there are only charter flights to and from Europe and the United States, but not all year round .
